sunday school lesson, and papa

He Came To Bring Us Peace

Objectives: To define peace as reconciliation with God through Jesus Christ.  To equip students with the tools necessary for dealing with conflicts in their lives.

Memory verse: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.  I do not give to you as the world gives.  Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”  John 14:27

Peace is God given rest on every side. God will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in Him. Nothing can make them stumble.

Bible foundations: Luke 8:22-25

Bible story: One day Jesus said to his disciples, "Let's go over to the other side of the lake." So they got into a boat and set out. As they sailed, he fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger.

The disciples went and woke him, saying, "Master, Master, we're going to drown!"
He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. Where is your faith?" he asked his disciples.  In fear and amazement they asked one another, "Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him."

Christ is able to calm any storms around us if we will let him. Jesus is the prince of peace, indeed he has promised us lasting peace.

Amidst life’s pace and trials, we easily lose sight of divine viewpoint. When we’re overwhelmed by criticism, trouble, or suffering, it’s vital to recognize our worth in the Lord’s eyes. That realization can energize our service and renew our love for the One who gave Himself to bring us back to God.

Conclusion: He was and is the God of the universe, and the elements obeyed their Creator. For the disciples, Jesus was the perfect model of someone they could mimic, for no one is more perfect and holy than God Himself. The One who could silence the winds and calm the waters was the ultimate example of One whose faith they could imitate, for He was God Himself.

Today, our faith can grow as we study the Word of God and see Him in its pages. We can ask for more faith and seek to be more like Him by imitating someone who is closer to His likeness. Some day we will see Him face-to-face and faith will no longer be required because our little faith will be a thing of the past. Yes, the just shall live by faith and some day we will see the author and the finisher of our faith.. (. . fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith . . . -------------------------------------------------------------------
it's going and really gonna be Christmas. and peace, might be the least or the best thing we think of!
silence, sometimes is God's signal that if the STORM comes He'd go and show Himself. but, same as the disciples mistake was, they failed to recognize God! we do the same a lot, when God appears to us silent for  at least a long period of time when trouble comes and becomes solved we fail to recognize that GOD was behind that victory and the peace you feel is a result of his AMAZINGLY POWERFUL works..

let the children, your students, see God's peace and His silent GREATNESS in you. as you study this lesson, make it as personal as it can get, besides, God loves it when you're personal! hehe..

papa died today, 13years God was silent..papa was sick, he couldn't talk neither could he walk or move. i thought "he followed you" (just as the disciples did) "he gave his life!" there were ZILLIONS of reasons in my mind the one day i know the healing he deserves would come. we're in a storm right now, then God stood up he said.."hush, be still.." i know he's in complete PEACE right now! from where i sit right now my heart might not be at peace, but my soul understand that my papa is at peace united with THE GREATNESS ON GOD, from where HE sits. GODBLESS GUYS!

A BLOGG.. (april 13'09)

i’ve learned from a slip. *waah! nabagok sya?*

last sunday..we went to our centers to teach the children..most likely 10yrs. old bellow. there were really young children, there was a baby! we told stories about the resorection of Jesus from the dead, what was easter all about and alot of things. we sang, played games, did activities and played games again.

we were enjoying it soo much. the game was butch ball, you hit the studnts with a ball and they run so that they wont be touched by it. they were happy, they laughed very hard and played like a pro. then suddently, i heard someting, i looked away and saw a little girl maybe about 3yrs. old. lying on the floor crying and all the students went to see her. at first i was scared, as i went close to her i said “hala! ang lakas..baka nabagok!”. i was really scared. why? because we were incharge we should have taken care of them. we were careless!

then the mom came, she looked angry and took her baby without a word. *yieks!* we can’t force ourselves to calm ‘coz what if something happened to the child??

As the sunday school was finished we all decided to sit for a while and pray for our center, the parents around us, the child’s family and her condition as well. we prayed really hard as we can and went to the little girls house. we saw her lying on the floor and beside her was her mom. we apologized to her and thanked her for understanding us.

She wasn’t even angry or what, she was calm and still nice to us. we all agreed “si God talaga ang gumalaw.” it was a good feeling that God was in control of the situation. though we were anxious to all negative possibilities, He knew what to do.

He thought us what to say. personally, ministry isn’t an option, it’s our obligation. God thought me that and my mission is to show the world His love, there’s no other. the only thing that made us complete is to know what and WHO we live for. God. :D
